Criminal and Misdemeanor Law

Criminal law or penal law is a discipline of public law and regulates the exercise of the State's punitive power. Its function is to protect certain legal assets considered essential to community life, preventing damage to these assets, applying certain sanctions to conducts considered criminal such as: crimes against the person (homicide, bodily harm, domestic violence, defamation, insult), against property (theft, robbery, damage), against life in society (counterfeiting), drug trafficking, economic and financial crime, tax crimes (fraud, breach of trust), intervening in tax and social security infraction processes and other situations.
